GUIDE AXE:

The Guide Axe is a product of over 50+ years of professional and recreational big game hunting experience. It's a tool designed for the serious hunter! The shortened handle and heavy axe head allow for serious work in a small package. The hand forged finish on the 1095 high-carbon head makes each axe head completely unique. The head has been peened in place to allow for rugged work. The 10 ft of ultra cord provide extra grip on the handle. The ultracord also makes this an idea tool for those times you find yourself deep in the back country and low on supplies. 

The leather blade cover is made from 8oz, black english bridle leather that comes from Wickett & Craig USA. The sheath features a brass snap for a secure closer.

*Just like all things, proper care should be given to the knife blade. We recommend cleaning with warm water and completely drying after use. We recommend applying WD40 to the blade immediately after drying to help deter spotting/rusting. We strongly encourage applying WD40 or a similar type oil to the axe frequently to help preserve the /1095damascus as well as to help resist any rusting. 

*The hickory handle is tapered to allow a nice fit at the top of the handle.
