This tough-as-the-mountains knife wasn’t given its namesake lightly. It stands up to the toughest opponents and never backs down from a rocky task. A mid-size hunting knife with a drop point design. The 1095 blades sports a wide belly for skinning, designed to keep you on task and off the sharpener. With thumb-jimping and an accurate-traction tip, a contoured handle and rolled spine you will almost forget this knife is in hand. The Ram is ready to charge your next adventure.

The leather sheath is made from 8 oz, English bridle leather. The leather was hand oiled to give it a classic feel. The leather we used comes from one of the oldest tanneries in the USA, Wickett & Craig. The sheath has been hand wet-formed to provide a nice tight fit for this one of a kind knife. 

What is the Universal Sheath? 

We recognize that 10% of you are lefties, and there are even a few of you that like to carry your knives around your neck.
We also know that some of you righties want to carry your pistol on the strong side and your knife on the left. We have a solution for you!

These Limited Edition Rams have been upgraded to our Universal Carry Knife Sheath. Now you're not stuck with only one knife carry solution. These Universal Carry Knife Sheaths have a full wrap around welt, belt loop with two neck carry grommets, and a lower tie down grommet. Just like all of our sheaths, they are made in the USA from Wickett & Craig 8-10 oz leather, and can be made to fit any knife that we make or any knife you currently own.

What is 1095 High-Carbon Tool Steel?

1095 is the most common 10XX steel used for knife blades. 1045 steel has less carbon (.45%), where 1095 has more (.95%), inversely 1095 has less Manganese and 1045 has more. So in essence, 1095 steel would have more wear resistance, but would also be less tough. 1045 holds an okay edge, 1095 steel holds an edge great, and is easy to sharpen. ***Just like all things, proper care should be given to the knife blade. We recommend cleaning with warm water and completely drying after use. We recommend applying WD40 or some type of gun oil to the blade immediately after drying to help deter spotting/rusting. Always clean and oil your knife before extended storage. Never store your knife in the leather sheath for extended time periods. The high-carbon nature of this damascus steel is prone to rusting and discoloration if not properly cared for.
