Dave Holladay/Cochise knife
First let me say what I am. Former Infantry Scout(foot not motorized),primitive skills enthusiast, bushcrafter, I've been a survival student for a lot of years(over 25)I've seen a lot in that time. I'm not sure how I came to find out about Schenk blades, but I had heard about Dave from having an interest in the primitive for a long time. My interest was piqued when I found they had created a blade together. It's not a foot long sawback, choppy blade it's an exquisite and precise slicer and cutter, this small blade will whittle and shape wood into useful tools and weapons if need be. It will clean game brought to one's fire,it will make the fire, and help build shelter. It's easily carried in a leather sheath of very nice quality either on one's belt,or by neck carry,a very nice feature is the design of a ram on the front of the sheath. Just a nice added feature. My knife has helped me make fire, whittle, and in the kitchen, it helped prepare vegetables and cut meat. It has completed every task with no issue. Maintenance has been keeping it clean and dry,and stropping every now and again when needed. The David Holladay Cochise is a strong and very capable knife,in a smaller, easily carried package that is a fantastic addition to any survivalist/bushcrafters tool chest,or for the minimalist/primitive skills practioner who wants a knife that will not fail,if used properly.
