Inspired by the rugged beauty of Gold Bug Hot Springs in Idaho, the Gold Bug Bearded Axe is a striking fusion of tradition and raw power. Featuring a flat-edged damascus steel blade, this axe is crafted from our in-house 1080 and 15N20 high-carbon damascus, forged in Idaho Falls, ID, and layered approximately 185 times for unmatched strength and beauty. The chipped texture finish ensures that no two axes are exactly alike, making each piece a unique work of art.

The d"battle worn" hickory handle gives this axe a bold, weathered aesthetic that pairs perfectly with its damascus steel head. The solid grip and balanced design make it both functional and formidable, ready for display or action.

*Just like all things, proper care should be given to the knife blade. We recommend cleaning with warm water and completely drying after use. We recommend applying WD40 to the blade immediately after drying to help deter spotting/rusting. We strongly encourage applying WD40 or a similar type oil to the axe frequently to help preserve the damascus as well as to help resist any rusting.
