The axe head is hand-forged from 150+ layers of high-carbon Damascus steel, creating a rugged and visually striking finish. Shaped in the style of Viking bearded axes, the head is designed for precision and power, making it an ideal tool for processing game, camp tasks, and tough backcountry work. The shortened handle provides enhanced control and hadnling when in tight spaces. 

The axe comes with a premium 8oz black English bridle leather sheath from Wickett & Craig USA, featuring a brass snap closure to keep the blade protected and secure.

*Just like all things, proper care should be given to the knife blade. We recommend cleaning with warm water and completely drying after use. We recommend applying WD40 to the blade immediately after drying to help deter spotting/rusting. We strongly encourage applying WD40 or a similar type oil to the axe frequently to help preserve the 1095/damascus as well as to help resist any rusting. 

*The hickory handle is tapered to allow a nice fit at the top of the handle.
